1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the OurBeam Windows app and the website at ourbeam.tv (together, the “Service”).
2. Information we collect
- Account details: your email address, username and password (stored in protected form).
- Room activity: information needed to run rooms, such as room membership and playback state.
- Camera and microphone: audio and video are used to connect you with the people in your room, only while you have them turned on.
- Technical data: device, app version, IP address and diagnostic logs that help us keep the Service working.
- Messages to us: whatever you send when you contact us.
3. How we use it
- to create your account and sign you in;
- to run rooms and keep playback in sync;
- to carry your camera and microphone to the people in your room;
- to fix problems, keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
- to reply to you and send important notices about the Service.
4. Camera and microphone
OurBeam asks for permission before using your camera or microphone, and you can turn each off in the app or withdraw access in your Windows privacy settings. Other people in a room can see or hear you while yours are on.
5. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run OurBeam, when you choose to share it with people in a room, or when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account information while your account is active and remove or anonymize it within a reasonable time after you delete it, unless we have a legal reason to keep it longer.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and Turkey’s KVKK, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to certain uses. To make a request, email privacy@ourbeam.tv.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No online service is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
OurBeam is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
When we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date above and let you know in a reasonable way.
